Does it work without data?
You’ll want a data connection for now — narration streams as you walk, and an afternoon of stories uses about as much data as a podcast. GPS itself doesn’t need data.
What do I get for free?
Three landmark stories in every city, free — pick any three and hear them end to end before you pay anything, Go deeper included. After that, unlocking the city opens the rest of it.
Which cities can I walk?
Paris, for now. We add a city when its stories are ready, and you can tell us where to go next.
What is “Go deeper”?
Most landmarks have more than one story. When the first ends, Go deeper offers the ones that didn’t fit, all about the place in front of you. A free story opens its own; unlocking the city opens them all.
Why won’t a story play from my hotel?
Stories in a city you’ve unlocked play when you’re at the landmark — within about sixty metres — because they’re written to be heard in front of the thing they describe. Your three free stories play anywhere, and anything you’ve already heard replays anywhere.
How does pricing work?
Unlocking a city opens every landmark story in it, forever — including the ones we add later. It never expires, and it’s not a subscription.
How do I restore a purchase?
Signed in with the same Apple ID, tap “Restore purchases” in the app. The cities you’ve unlocked are tied to your Apple ID, so they follow you to a new device.
Do I need headphones?
One earbud is the sweet spot — the city in one ear, the story in the other. Speaker works too, if you’ve got a quiet corner to yourself.
Will it drain my battery?
An hour and a half of walking uses roughly what a podcast plus maps would. The screen stays on only while you’re following directions to a stop; once the story starts you can lock your phone and pocket it.
Refunds?
Purchases go through the App Store, so refunds do too — and if something’s genuinely wrong, write to us and we’ll make it right.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Settings › Account › Delete account. Deletion is permanent and removes your account and listen history. Purchases remain tied to your Apple ID.
